OVERALL WINNER 2006

"Feel" is an expertly crafted pop song with an Indie feel. The lyrics deal with the familiar emotions of insecurity in love in an original, powerful and direct way. The melody is memorable and cleverly applied over one of pop's most basic and most popular repeating progressions, it incorporates a strong hook based on the song title, and even the middle eight is perfectly crafted. This song was placed first in both the Pop and Rock/Indie categories, and in the opinion of the judging panels Nicola, from Westfield, Dereham in Norfolk is a worthy overall winner of the UK Songwriting Contest 2006.
