MUSIC FOR
RELIEF
 The
Grammy Award winning band Linkin Park originally
set up the Music For Relief project to provide
aid for those affected by the tsunami tragedy in
South Asia. Today this organization responds to
natural disasters and helps victims recover and
rebuild with an emphasis on housing, education
programs and resources. It also seeks to prevent
and decrease future natural disasters by
reducing greenhouse gasses, seeking renewable
forms of energy and educating the public about
climate change.

BRITISH BROADCASTING CORPORATION
Music Aid has been fortunate enough to work with
the BBC on a number of music projects. These
include the high profile "Instrument Amnesty"
project where thousands of unwanted musical
instruments, from guitars to grand pianos,
harmonicas to harpsichords, were collected,
redistributed and given new homes with musicians
in a large nationwide campaign in the United
Kingdom.

THE CHILDREN
OF AGAPE
If you have yet not seen the multi award winning
film "We Are Together" follow the link below for
an unforgettable experience. Described by Bono
as "an incredible piece of work". The Agape
Orphanage in South Africa will receive extensive
promotion throughout Music Aid 2009 and will
also receive income directly from advertising
revenue linked to the event. Learn more about

 THE
UK SONGWRITING CONTEST
Music Aid helped to launch this this very
successful and highly prestigious international
event back in 2002 in association with the BRIT
Trust (of BRIT Awards fame). It has become one
of the most important international songwriting
contests in the world and it is a favourite
annual event for many thousands of songwriters
and composers. The UK Songwriting Contest (UKSC)
is a valuable supporter and member of Music Aid
and the contest organisers donate part of its
annual income to support Music Aid projects. The UKSC and its staff are providing production,
administrative and technical support and
expertise for the Music Aid 2009 International
Song Contest.
