Music Aid International supports causes and programs that improve and protect the environment. We use major global music events to raise funds and awareness for this work. World Concert Day, World NGO Day, Giving Tuesday and other events highlight and fundraise for many of these causes. Recent examples of projects that have benefited from Music Aid International's involvement and support include Amazon Watch and The United Nations Breathe Life Campaign. Potential partners in these areas are always welcome to contact us with plans for joint ventures and events. The power of the international music community cannot be underestimated and together we can use this power and influence to work to make our world a better and healthier place for everyone. Let us work with you as your music partner on your next environmental event.
SAVE THE RAINFORESTS
The world's rainforests are in crisis with over 400 Indigenous peoples threatened and global deforestation contributing 20–25 percent of all greenhouse gas emissions. Music Aid supports and promotes projects working to protect the Amazon and all other rainforests with the Music Aid International Save The Rainforests program. Each of us can take action. We may be the last generation that has a chance to protect this precious gem of our world’s environmental, cultural and ecological heritage – an irreplaceable source of life, health and clean air. Music Aid supported Amazon Watch in the World Concert Day events when participating artists asked fans to donate to the organization. Visit the Amazon Watch website for donation and other details and information. Visit the World Concert Day page on this website for more details about that event.
BREATHE LIFE CAMPAIGN
Music Aid International is concerned that air pollution is the number one major cause of disease and death worldwide and we very strongly support all programs, events and initiatives that work to raise awareness of this. Potential partners in these areas are always welcome to contact us with plans for joint ventures and events. Our recommended clean air cause and program is The United Nations Breathe Life Campaign. We strongly recommend visiting the website at BreatheLife2030.org for good information about air pollution and how it affects you, your health and your community. TIP: There is a very useful pollution checker on the site to instantly see the air pollution levels in your own location and to see how safe your local air is to breath.
